From the desk of: Doctor Patrick Smith, CEO of CMHA
On this, the 66th annual CMHA Mental Health Week, it’s my pleasure to welcome you to the CMHA Quarterly. This e-news is CMHA’s brand new way to keep you informed about the work we are doing. CMHA’s motto is “Mental Health for All” and we really mean it. We are working on your behalf, and on behalf of all Canadians, to make it more than just a motto. CMHA works on the ground in communities all across the country. We promote mental health and work to prevent mental illness; we do advocacy and education; we develop community partnership and we provide clinical and support services.
We have so much to do, and so much to tell you.
First of all, don’t forget to #GetLoud for mental health this May 1-7 by visiting mentalhealthweek.ca. Next, while you’re online, check out Rob Murphy’s video “300 Days.” You’ll read all about Rob in this issue of our e-news. Finally, we want to thank McKesson Canada for partnering with us to get the news to you. Enjoy. Have a great Mental Health Week, and enjoy our first issue of the CMHA Quarterly.
