BroMatters are Recruiting!

September 22, 2016

The BroMatters Project proposes an interdisciplinary partnership focusing on early identification and prevention to better understand how to maintain healthy minds for working men.

The BroMatters Project proposes an interdisciplinary partnership focusing on early identification and prevention to better understand how to maintain healthy minds for working men. By asking and working closely with working men at risk of depression, they plan to uncover what electronic low cost strategies, self-management tools, and resources are suitable and effective at reducing the impact of mental health issues for working men. The going-to-source approach to supportive interventions tailored to the needs and preferences of men can provide anonymity and therefore reduce stigmatizing.

The recruitment process for the randomized control trial of the BroMatters project has commenced! We are targeting high risk male employees to investigate whether an e-mental health program would help to deal with stress and work-related issues.

Participants will be screened for eligibility and followed for one year with health check interviews at 6 and 12 months.

If you are a working Canadian male over the age of 18 and are interested in getting involved with our research, we want to hear from you. Please contact Erin at emjones@ucalgary.ca to learn more!
