Campaign aims to raise awareness and funds in support of workplace mental health
Partners for Mental Health (PFMH) and CMHA will officially launch the ‘Not Myself Today’ workplace mental health campaign across Canada on May 9th and it will run to June 6th.
This is primarily a fundraising campaign that will solicit funds and support for improving mental health in the workplace while bringing issues related to workplace mental health to the forefront. PFMH has designated CMHA workplace mental health programs and services and its annual Bottom Line Conference as the focus of this campaign.
The final day of the campaign, June 6th will be Not Myself Day @ Work. On this day, there will be a blitz of activity with special events in workplaces across Canada.
For more information and to support CMHA and workplace mental health, please visit the ‘Not Myself Today’ website.
The 2013 National Bottom Line Conference on Workplace Mental Health in Vancouver, February 27-28, is fast approaching.
The Bottom Line Conference (BLC) is an annual CMHA conference that addresses workplace mental health issues. With the release of Canada’s first-ever national workplace Standard, The National Standard of Canada – Psychological Health and Safety in the Workplace – Prevention, promotion and guidance to staged implementation (The Standard) in January, this year’s conference, Celebrating a New Era in Workplace Mental Health: Putting National Standards into Practice, will focus on ways to implement the new standard, how to improve mental health in the workplace and how CMHA can help.
Grow a ‘stache’ and support male mental health initiatives in Canada
The beginning of November marks the start of Movember’s month-long fundraising campaign that challenges men to change their appearance and the face of men’s health by growing a moustache. Movember Canada announced in September that it will be addressing mental health, in addition to prostate cancer, as part of its Movember 2012 campaign.
