Welcome
to the CMHA Mental Health Promotion Tool Kit!
The Mental
Health Promotion Tool Kit was produced in 1999 by the Canadian
Mental Health Association, National Office. Funded by the
Population Health Fund of Health Canada and written by Catherine
Willinsky, the kit is a comprehensive guide for communities
that wish to undertake mental health promotion initiatives.
It contains everything anyone would need to know about implementing
a mental health promotion program, including examples, strategies,
tips and tools.
As Michael
Murray, Chief Executive of the Cliffor Beers Foundation: the
European Centre for Mental Health Promotion has written:
"the
tool kit is really a very special publication....it is an
extremely useful document that has been put together in
a very perceptive manner. ...A full range of appropriate
issues are addressed in a meaningful way and it will be
very useful to readers/practitioners. The more I read the
more impressed I became. It was easy to read and at the
same time interesting and enlightening....I would be very
happy to use such a publication when working with community
groups."
What's
the Tool Kit About?
Developed
with the support and help of the Mental Health Promotion Unit
