Mental Health Problems

Getting Help

As with all serious illnesses, the sooner people get some proper help for mental illness, the quicker and easier they tend to get better. Not only that, but this sort of "early intervention" also means that people have a far greater chance of staying better too.

The trick is to know what's happening, and get help as soon as possible. So if you or someone you know might be having the sort of experiences described above, seeing a doctor (your family doctor is a good place to start) is a very good idea to get some help and advice. They can refer you to a specialist if necessary.
