Orygen Youth Health – Youth Mental Health Fact Sheets
These fact sheets were produced to answer common questions or concerns about mental health issues facing young people. They are suitable for young people who have concerns about their own wellbeing or that of a friend, families of young people suffering from mental health problems or anyone who works or deals with young people who would like to be more informed about youth mental health issues.

The Canadian Mental Health Association has a series of pamphlets with useful information on mental health and mental illness.

It Starts Here – A guide to Mood Disorders for Teens
An excellent guidebook that provides detailed information for teens about mood disorders and the issues that surround them. A helpful and interactive resource.

Kids Help Phone 1-800-668-6868
Kids Help Phone is Canada's only toll-free, 24 hour, national bilingual telephone counselling service for children and youth. Kids Help Phone: is free, anonymous and confidential, staffed by professional counsellors.

Kids Help Phone helps all the young people who call, either through counselling, or by referring them to services in their own community. Some of our callers are as young as four and other as old as twenty.

The Kids Help Phone website is a great source of information for teens on all sorts of topics. You can interact with other teens online, and submit questions to the counsellors.

Youth Net
Youth Net is a mental health program run by youth for youth. Their goal is to involve as many people as possible between the ages of 13 and 20 in the promotion of youth mental health. As well, the program helps people identify early signs of mental illness so that they can take the next step to get help. On the website, you’ll also find Youth Fax” an excellent newsletter that deals with youth issues. Past issues are archived on the site.
