Alterheroes is a site that looks at some of issues for youth who may be questioning their sexual identity. The site has lots of great information for youth, including personal stories and peer support networks.
Cyberisle

Teen Net – University of Toronto
This youth health site was developed with teens for teens. It is an interactive site all about young people and health issues, in a fun graphic style. Lots of links are provided to other sites about youth issues and health.

Face the Issue
A new site for youth that features interesting animations narrated by celebrities dealing with topics such as substance abuse, eating disorders, depression and self-esteem

A Guide to Mental Health – The Compass Strategy, Australia

This guide for youth is easy to navigate and looks at depression, bipolar disorder, psychosis, substance abuse and other mental health problems. Each section includes facts about the specific problem, symptoms and types of treatment available. There is also a personal experiences section with stories from young people who have dealt with a mental health problem.

Psychosis Sucks
This youth-friendly site has great information about psychosis and associated problems. Lots of downloads and links for more information.

Sheffield Early Intervention Service
Although this site is graphically not very interesting, it does have some great youth-friendly information on first episode psychosis – what it is, dealing with symptoms, getting help, medication, etc.

SSO Aware – Schizophrenia Society of Ontario
Speaking out to raise awareness and change attitudes about schizophrenia

This Australian Youth Suicide Prevention Web Site offers a wide range of youth-culture media and spaces supported by people who care.

This is the site for a global project to combat the stigma associated with serious mental illness – schizophrenia in particular. Lots of great information for teens, parents and caregivers, as well as health and other professionals. Personal stories from all over the world.
