Donate to CMHA

Your gift supports the Canadian Mental Health Association in its mission to promote mental health and help those with mental illnesses, while keeping our costs low. As the nation-wide leader and champion for mental health, CMHA facilitates access to the resources people require to maintain and improve mental health and community integration, build resilience, and support recovery from mental illness.
CMHA operates on three different levels — national, provincial/territorial (except Nunavut), and local/regional — in more than 120 communities across Canada. Each level of the organization has a distinct and well-defined role. But all work closely together, bound by commitment to a common name and compatible vision and mission.
Please note that CMHA affiliates are separately incorporated and registered as independent charitable organizations. To help you make your choice, here are the role descriptions and links to all affiliates:
National
CMHA National identifies, defines and communicates common goals and speaks as the national voice for the association.
Provincial/Territorial
CMHA provincial/territiorial affiliates provide a strategic leadership role within the health care system of each province/territory.
Local/Regional
CMHA local branches/regions provide a wide range of specialized mental health programs and services which are tailored to the needs and available resources of those communities where they are based.

Donating Through a Will

In planning your estate, if and when the time is right, please remember the Canadian Mental Health Association National in your Will. When you leave a gift in your Will to CMHA National, you can redirect funds that would otherwise go to the government in the form of taxes. Your gift will be used for help promote mental health and those with mental illnesses.
