Stunted Growth |
"Stunted Growth":
The mood I was in when I drew this picture is similar to the mood I was
in when I created "Alone in a storm", only a little angrier.
I was feeling extremely frustrated living with my intense melancholy and
my dissatisfaction with life. I felt cut off from things that the people
around me had and I felt I didn't - things like popularity, beauty and
self-confidence. If I could just break the invisible barrier I felt around
me and "emerge into light" like everyone else, I could flourish
and grow. But I felt trapped under the weight of my depression, and all
I could do was look outside.
