What is the 'Golf for Life' Tournament?
Golf for Life is an annual, charity, golf tournament that has been held eleven times as of June/10, netting about $150,000 since the tournament first began in 2000 in support of the Signals of Suicide Program.
Planning will start soon for Golf for Life XII. The date and location for our 2011 tournament have not been determined yet but that information will be posted on this site as soon as these details have been finalized. More information about this tournament and its cause is shown below:
What Does 'Golf for Life' Support?
All proceeds from this tournament go towards the delivery of Signals of Suicide, a suicide prevention program for youth. The program is delivered in Junior High classrooms across Prince Edward Island and has a direct, positive, impact on the lives of the young people who participate; in short, it helps ensure a successful future for our youth. This program has reached over 20,000 Island students since its inception and has been very well received by students, teachers and parent/community groups. To quote a student participant, “This program saves lives.”

What Do I Get for My Money?
You'll get a fun-filled afternoon of golf on a shirt (or jacket), plenty of on-course and some after-tournament food, a chance at four hole-in-one contests with great prizes, plus a chance at all the on-course contests and available draw prizes. And because this is a charity tournament, tax receipts will be issued for a significant portion (usually about 50%) of the paid registration fee.
What Do Past Participants Have to Say?
- "Love the food on the course - especially the barbeque!"
- "Had a wonderful day of golf and fun."
- "Great venue for a tournament. Like the mid-week and early afternoon tee off."
- "The whole event was great - lots of fun and great day."
- "Perfect day - all went well."
- "Everything was well-organized. Lots of fun with team. Friendly staff."
- "Great weather, we looked great in the picture and I was the best player on our team!"
- "Great to have a quick wrap-up at the end."
